I named this blog Not Another Teen Mom Blog because I imagine anyone reading this has many options to get their MTV Teen Mom news. There are many other blogs, Facebook groups, Reddit subs, Twitter accounts, news outlets, and podcasts to get your fix. What makes this blog a special snowflake? Honestly, I'm not sure yet.
I'm using this blog as a writing exercise. This will definitely not be Shakespeare. I figured if I am watching and obsessing over this trash series, I might as well try to do something constructive with all the useless Teen Mom garbage floating around in my brain.
I'm starting this in a weird place. My first post will be about the most recent episode of Teen Mom 2. I am going to try my best to catch up on the previous episodes of this season. If I can get caught up, I'll move on to the first season of Young and Pregnant. I'll mostly be writing snarky episode recaps, but I may also include news, humor, artwork, or opinion pieces as I see fit.
I do not have cable, so I a have limited access to older episodes. In the alternate universe where this blog becomes hugely successful and popular, I may be able to afford to get a subscription service or purchase the old seasons. We'll see how it goes.
I'm open to constructive criticism. Let me know what you like, what you don't, and anything you'd like to see. I'm particularly curious about whether my recaps are too detailed or not detailed enough. Be kind, especially in the comments section.
